Generating sales leads is crucial to the success of any business. Without leads, there are no customers and with any customers, there’s no business. Once you see and learn the 3Cs of prospecting in sales, you’ll realize that the process is not all bad.
To have network marketing success, or success in any business space, you must:
- Capture lead information – Whether you’re running an ad, posting on social media, etc., you’re purposely running it to get the attention to your potential customer in hopes of getting their information in exchange for your offer (which hopefully it’s something of value to and for them). Capturing a lead’s information can be done through several different mediums: squeeze/capture pages, social media posts, in-person conversations to name a few.
- Connect with your lead – Now that you have their information, you want to reach out to them to acknowledge their inquiry. This can be done by phone, email, social media chat or in-person. This is where the saying “the fortune is in the follow-up” becomes most important. Contacting your lead to say “Hi, I saw where you opted into my website for my XYZ course/ebook/ecourse, etc”. This is also where you begin to build a relationship with them. Ask questions to see what they are/were in search of. Your responsibility is to find out what you can do to help them with their need.
- Close the deal – Once you’ve determine what they need, then you want to subtly agitate the need and begin sharing how it is your product/service can help them overcome their hurdle/solve their problem. If they are serious about their inquiry/quest for better, then your close should go seamlessly. If they are on the fence, then it’s your responsibility to answer their questions/reassure their curiosity by responding in a manner that they can understand. You can accomplish this by studying their personality colors and how it is people interpret/process information.
Sales leads generation, when done correctly, helps you to keep the funnel full. More leads lead to more sales. Today’s 3Cs are useful with network marketing online and in-person. These 3Cs will help you streamline the process when interacting with your potential customer or business partner.
